Big Ear is a family business. My father founded it in 2003 with a simple, stubborn belief: that hearing is worth protecting properly — not with a foam plug that muffles the world, but with something molded to your exact ear that lets you hear life clearly while keeping the damage out.
The problem we set out to solve
Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, common, and almost entirely preventable. Musicians, riders, shooters, industrial crews, sleepers — millions live with sound that is slowly costing them their hearing, because the "protection" available either doesn’t fit, doesn’t sound right, or doesn’t get worn. We wanted to fix that for good.

Our flagship, The One®, is a patented flat-attenuation earplug developed with university research — it turns the volume down evenly across the spectrum instead of crushing the highs, so music and speech stay natural, just safer. Swappable filters let one custom pair cover many environments.
