Nothing is pulled off a shelf — which is why it fits like nothing else, and why it’s worth the wait. With the impression kit and return shipping on the front end, the full timeline from order to doorstep runs longer still. The problem

The right tip starts backing out. A thread of cold air sneaks in. You press it back during the approach brief, and twenty minutes later you’re doing it again. The ProFlight fit fine on the ground — but a generic tip can’t hold a seal in an ear it was never shaped to.

And a broken seal is more than a comfort problem. Will it fit my ProFlight — Series 1 or Series 2?

Both. The adapter mates to the standard ProFlight in-ear tips on Series 1 and Series 2. You tell us which series you fly when you order.

Will I still hear ATC and aircraft alerts?

Yes — and more clearly. A custom adapter doesn’t add attenuation on top of your headset; it gives you a clean, consistent seal so the audio Bose pipes in (radio, alerts, intercom) comes through even and undistorted. You set headset volume exactly as you do now.

Does it work with the active noise reduction?

It helps it. ANR works best against a sealed ear. When the stock tip leaks, the ANR is fighting a moving target; a custom seal lets it do its job the way it was engineered to.

Is it actually comfortable on long flights?

That’s the entire point. Generic tips concentrate pressure on a few spots, which is why they ache by hour two. A custom adapter spreads contact across the shape of your ear — most pilots forget it’s in.

How do you get my ear impression without an audiologist?

Your order ships with a home impression kit and a guided video. It takes about 10–15 minutes with a helper, and 99% of people get it right the first try. Prefer in person? Visit one of our 50+ providers.

Is the headset included?

No. This is a custom adapter for the ProFlight you already own — that’s why it costs a fraction of a new headset and fits you perfectly.

How long does it take, and will I know where it is?

Every adapter is hand-built in 35–40 business days from the day your impressions reach our lab. You’ll get an update at every stage — impressions received, in the lab, quality-checked, shipped — so you’re never wondering.

What if the fit isn’t perfect?
